On May 25^th 2023, Prof. Han Yu, Vice President and Secretary General of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as NSFC), met with Mr. Frank Vrancken Peeters, CEO of Springer Nature.

Prof. Han reviewed the joint activities between NSFC and Springer Nature in recent years, emphasizing that NSFC attaches great importance to the role of international cooperation in promoting research integrity, scientific communication and achievement transformation. He expressed the hope that the two sides could explore the possibility of working together in the development of relevant aspects.

Mr. Peeters highlighted the Springer Nature’s work and priorities in particular the progress in the field of open science and achieving UN SDGs. It’s his hope that the two sides could further deepen the cooperation and exchange on the basis of previous collaboration.

Prof. Guo Jianquan, Deputy Director General of General Office (Office of Research Integrity), Prof. Yin Wenxuan, Deputy Director General of Bureau of International Cooperation, Prof. Peng Jie, Director General of Center for Science Communication and Achievement Transformation also attended the meeting.
